Saw the most amazing film, Les Revenants at the London Film Festival last night. Briefly, it’s about dead people coming back to life and forcing the living to face up to grief, questions of displacement, living etc. Awesome. The director, Robin Campillo, fieled questions at the end – and gave some insights into his thoughts on the issues in the film, i.e. How we try and box people away in Cemeteries, how the film is really about displacement and imigration generally, and how death is really the only frontier for humans (i.e. we talk about sexual transgresion tc, but that’s all pretty irrelevant). There’s a good review here.

It’s on on Thursday at 4.15pm again at the NFT – highly recommended.
